đŸ’„â€œDWTS IN TURMOIL” — Carrie Ann Inaba REFUSES to Back Down After Explosive Viewer Backlash Carrie Ann Inaba isn’t backing down. After Dancing With the Stars fans flooded social media accusing her of bias and “unfair judging,” the longtime judge fired back: “I won’t apologize for honesty — this is about talent, not favoritism.”

Carrie Ann Inaba is facing plenty of criticism for comments and scores that fans and some of the Dancing With the Stars contestants deemed as “unfair” on dedication night, and now, she’s speaking out about the hate.

The longtime judge on the ABC show often gets hate from fans over her scores on the show, and many have called her out for seemingly playing favorites every season and being harsher to certain celebrities.

Now, after Kym Johnson’s guest appearance led to calls for her to become a permanent addition to the panel, Carrie Ann is fighting back as she once again faces backlash.

The latest round of drama for her started after she posted a photo of herself and Kym on Instagram, where she praised the two-time Mirrorball champ for her judgment.

However, after a slew of comments lambasting her, Carrie Ann then hopped into them herself to defend how she scores.

Many fans took issue mainly with her giving 9’s to Dylan Efron and Whitney Leavitt, especially after noting that Whitney and Mark Ballas were out of sync during their contemporary routine–while only giving Robert Irwin and Alix Earle 8’s for routines that were praised as flawless.

“You giving Robert an 8 though! You know he outperformed Dylan, as much as I love him!” one person wrote.

“Giving Whitney a 9 but Robert an 8, GIRLLL please get it together,” another said.

“Can you explain why you gave Whitney a 9 when she was off beat and also has prior dance experience so she shouldn’t be off beat, but robert and even Jen had a beautiful dance, timing was impeccable and you scored them lower? Just confusing to watch and wondering what goes through your mind when giving those scores,” a third commented.

Carrie Ann then hopped into the comment section to share that it was a matter of differing opinions.

“It’s okay to disagree about what we see. That’s what makes our show great. You have a say in the matter. We want you to vote for what you love and believe in. I appreciate your comment and the way you expressed your feelings. Thank you for your passion and your opinion,” she said.

Despite this, others still slammed her, with many telling her they wished Kym would replace her in the future and slamming her for favoritism.

“You’re literally the worst judge of DWTS,” one person said. “How you are still on that show is beyond me, you show your favoritism so much it’s disgusting. I hope they find a better judge for upcoming seasons, you’re not it honey.”

“Kym was so helpful and kind. It just seems like no matter what you have your favorites and the underdogs always have a disadvantage with you,” another wrote.

“Time to replace the old with the new. Kym was so pleasant and helpful and stayed true with her scores. Carrie Ann plays favorites,” a third commented.

“Kym should replace you. She was a better judge for two hours than you were for 34 seasons. She actually gave the celebrities helpful tips,” a fourth added.
