Federal agents with K-9 units were sent Wednesday evening to Nancy Guthrieâs Arizona home, where they reportedly searched an adjacent wooded area and the missing womanâs garage.
The agents joined officers from the Pima County Sheriffâs Department, who put caution tape back up at the 84-year-oldâs house to block access to the property, NewsNationâs Brian Entin reported in an X post.
âItâs been quiet here for the last couple of days, but now clearly they are about to do something at the house,â Entin said as he filmed agents setting up their scene.
Police then began a grid search of the thicket near the home in Tucson, Entin reported, and also looked through the garage.
Law enforcement spent less than two hours at the residence before taking down the police tape and leaving.
Nancy â mother to âTodayâ show host Savannah Guthrie â hasnât been seen since family dropped her off at the Tucson home Saturday night.
Police declared her disappearance a criminal case on Monday.
There were signs of a forced entry at the house, along with blood spatters on the property when police arrived after Nancy was reported missing, sources previously told The Post.
The taped off scene came just hours after Pima County Sheriffâs Department confirmed Nancyâs home had been turned back over to her family â while advising that activity could persist there as the investigation carried on.
