The man detained and later released during a major SWAT raid has denied any connection to the Nancy Guthrie case.

Luke Daley, 36, was one of at least three people detained on February 13, after authorities searched a home about two miles from Nancy’s residence.

At the time, two individuals, Daley and his mother, were ordered to come out of the house. They were later released without charges.

Around the same time, a Range Rover was towed at a nearby Culver’s restaurant, where another individual was detained.

A neighbor of Daley told Fox News Digital that he was “pissed” about the SWAT raid, adding that the mother was upset because she had no idea what was going on.

The source noted that both Daley and his mother want Nancy Guthrie found, just like everyone else.

Daley’s lawyer, Chris Scileppi, said in a statement that his client has no connection to the Nancy Guthrie case.

“Scileppi Law can confirm that Luke Daley was the subject of two search warrants issued and served on February 13, 2026,” 12 News cited. “Mr. Daley and his mother were both detained by law enforcement while the search warrants were being executed.”

He continued, “Mr. Daley has no link whatsoever to Nancy Guthrie and has no information related to her kidnapping. Like the entire Tucson community, both Mr. Daley and his mother are hopeful that Nancy will be returned to her family unharmed.”

Meanwhile, the towed Range Rover, which had been searched at the scene and sealed with evidence tape, was no longer visible from the perimeter of the Pima County Sheriff’s impound lot, Fox News Digital reported.

Sheriff Warns Nancy Guthrie Case May Take ‘Months’ to Resolve

On Saturday, Chris Nanos acknowledged the challenges investigators face in identifying the DNA recovered from Nancy Guthrie’s home. He explained that the samples contain DNA from multiple individuals, making it harder to run through national databases.

“Our lab tells us that there are challenges with it,” Nanos told NBC Nightly News. “The technology is moving so fast and in such a frenzy that they think some of this stuff will resolve itself just in a matter of weeks, months, or maybe a year.”

Despite the challenges, Nanos assured the Guthrie family that they will not stop until Nancy is found.

“We’re not quitting,” he added. “We’ll find her.”
