“Since I met her, I’ve laughed a thousand times more than I ever did in 30 years with you.”
Those were the devastating words that shattered Linda Robson’s heart — and became the final breaking point in her 33-year marriage.
A Marriage That Couldn’t Be Saved

After more than three decades together, Loose Women star Linda Robson and her husband Mark Dunford quietly went their separate ways. The actress, 66, has now opened up about the emotional toll of their split, revealing how one sentence — spoken by her husband before their separation — left scars that still haven’t healed.
“I’ll never forget it,” Linda reportedly told friends. “Those words have stayed with me ever since. They broke something inside me.”
While Linda didn’t go into full detail about who the mysterious “her” was, she admitted the moment confirmed that the love and laughter between them were long gone.
Trying to Move Forward

In a new interview, Linda described how she’s been searching for a new home and trying to adjust to life on her own after the breakup. She’s planning to move closer to her two grown-up children, Louis (32) and Bobbie (28), but admitted the transition has been “stressful” and emotionally draining.
“No, I’m still looking,” she told Woman magazine. “Hopefully, I’ll find somewhere soon. It’s been a stressful time, but once I move, it’ll be a new chapter.”
Despite the challenges, Linda insists she’s ready to rebuild her life and leave the pain behind.
Haunted by the Past
The Birds of a Feather star confessed that even though years have passed since her separation, she still feels haunted by her ex-husband’s words — the comparison that made her feel small, unwanted, and replaceable.
“For a while, I felt like a complete failure,” she said. “You spend most of your life with someone, and suddenly they make you feel like you never mattered. That’s a hard thing to recover from.”
Finding Strength Again
Linda’s honesty has touched fans who’ve watched her navigate personal battles over the years — including a breakdown, struggles with OCD, and an emotional fight to regain her confidence. She admits she’s still healing but says she’s stronger now than ever.
“It’s taken time,” she shared. “I’m learning to forgive, to let go, and to be kind to myself again. That’s the hardest part.”
The Loose Women favourite says she’s not ready to date again, choosing instead to focus on family, friends, and self-care. “I’m not interested in finding someone new,” she laughed. “Right now, I just want peace.”
A Woman Reborn
Though the wounds may never fully fade, Linda Robson is proving that heartbreak doesn’t have to define the rest of your life. Through courage, honesty, and a little humour, she’s beginning to write her next chapter — one filled with independence, strength, and self-love.
