Christina Haack is one proud mama!

The HGTV star excitedly shared that her eldest child, daughter Taylor El Moussa, reached a pivotal teenage milestone.

Christina Haack and Tarek El Moussa’s Daughter Gets Her Driver’s Permit

The “Flip or Flop” alum took to social media on Tuesday, March 24, to share that Taylor had earned her driver’s permit.

The teen—whom Haack shares with first husband Tarek El Moussa—was seen waiting in line at the DMV, dressed in a cozy sweat set, in the photograph shared to Haack’s Instagram Story.

“OMG our girl has a driver’s permit!!” the proud mom wrote.

In a follow-up post, Haack shared a clip of Taylor behind the wheel of a charcoal grey Tesla as she pulled out of the driveway. El Moussa was in the passenger seat.

“I can’t believe we have a driver,” she wrote with a crying emoji.

El Moussa reshared both clips to his own Instagram profile, as did proud stepmom Heather Rae El Moussa.

In California, which is where the family resides, a teenager can earn their driver’s permit at age 15 and a half after studying for and passing a written test. After six months of practicing behind the wheel with a driver’s permit, a teen is eligible to earn their driver’s license on their 16th birthday.

Taylor will be 16 in September.

Tarek and Christina’s Co-Parenting

Tarek and Christina were married for seven years before announcing their split in 2016. The former couple share two children together: Taylor, and son Brayden.

Following their split, Christina went on to marry “Wheelers Dealers” star Ant Anstead. They welcomed a son named Hudson before their divorce.

Similarly, Tarek went on to marry “Selling Sunset” alum Heather Rae Young. The happy couple share son Tristan.

Over the years, the blended family has proven they are a strong co-parenting team, often celebrating major milestones together and even starring in an HGTV series, “The Flip Off,” together.

“We always put the kids first,” Tarek told House Beautiful in April 2025. “Through that, we were able to rebuild our friendship—and that really came because of Heather and Christina really getting along.”

Heather added, “Our relationship is even different than it was seven months ago. It took years, but it takes a lot of trust and respect for each other and seeing the other as real humans…We all want the same thing: To raise good kids and the happiness of the kids. It’s hard to do that when you’re not united.”
