Who Won ‘Rock the Block’ Season 7? Breaking Down Each Team’s Wins

Rock the Block Season 7 has officially come to an end, and one team emerged from the competition victorious.
Set in Sin City, the latest season of the HGTV competition series featured four new teams battling it out on the Block. And for the first time in the show’s history, the teams featured HGTV stars competing alongside celebrities with home design and renovation experience.
“This is a genius idea. When I first heard, I was like, ‘What? How is this going to work when they’ve never met each other before?’ Maybe it’s Season 7, and seven is a lucky number when we’re in Vegas,” host Ty Pennington exclusively told TV Insider before the Season 7 premiere. “But I’ll tell you this season of Rock the Block is big. It’s exciting, it’s flamboyant. It’s like Vegas itself. It’s a big show. Maybe it’s because the HGTV stars are working with reality stars. In many ways, they are just stars.”
Celebrity contestants weren’t the only new twist introduced for Season 7. The winner of each episode got to choose between putting $3,000 toward their next design or adding $1,000 to their home’s total appraised value at the end of the season. Like seasons past, the team with the highest appraisal value at the end of the renovation won.
Scroll down to see which team earned the title of Rock the Block Season 7 champions.

Kim Wolfe & Chelsea Meissner: WINNERS
Total wins: 3
Kim and Chelsea chose to add $1,000 to their home’s final appraised value after scoring Episode 2’s win. Their “Smoky Sexy” foyer, great room, and den design won over guest judge (and two-time Rock the Block winner) Michel Smith Boyd.
After losing a handful of design challenges, Kim and Chelsea scored their second win with their Episode 6 backyard transformation. They chose add $1,000 to their final appraisal value.
All of their hard work paid off big time during the finale, as they were crowned as the Season 7 champions.
“Seriously, I cannot believe it. It does not feel real,” Chelsea gushed in a post-win confessional. “From Day 1, I said I was with the best in interior designer here, and now, it’s proven to be true. I mean, she is way ahead of her time.”
Wolfe, for her part, added, “But the magic truly was us together. It was. It feels like great validation, jumping in the creative current and the risk-taking and the momentum of this entire opportunity, and it just feels really beautiful.”

Scott McGillivray & Brooke Hogan
Total wins: 2
Scott and Brooke’s bedroom, bathroom, and closet design scored them the first win of the season during the April 13 premiere episode. The duo chose to add $3,000 to their budget for the next week’s design rather than add $1,000 to their home’s final appraisal.
Scott and Brooke earned their second win with their kitchen and dining space renovation in Episode 3, becoming the first team of the season to win two times. Like their first win, the team chose to add $3,000 to their next design budget.
Despite their Season 7 loss, the duo ended the competition feeling grateful for their partnership. “We may not have won, but even knowing the result, I wouldn’t have changed a thing,” Scott gushed in a season finale confessional.
An emotional Brooke added, “I don’t even care. I had so much fun. I was crying because I felt so lucky to be here. It was the first time out of my shell, out of hiding, and I have definitely grown as a designer. I’m feeling more confident in myself, and this will forever, forever, stick with me.”

Taniya Nayak & Drew Lachey
Total wins: 1
After three weeks of zero wins, Taniya and Drew secured their first victory with their multi-gen suite renovation during Episode 4. The duo chose to add $1,000 to their home’s final appraised value rather than take $3,000 for their next design.
“It feels great to get that first W,” Lachey said in a post-win confessional. “Hopefully, there’s many more to come, but just to get over that hump and feel what it feels like to be on that right track.”
The win was particularly meaningful for Nayak, as the winner was picked by their fellow competitors. “That’s a huge compliment,” she gushed.
Though the pair’s house didn’t win, Taniya said she was “so happy” for Kim and Chelsea’s Season 7 victory. “Their house is gorgeous. It really was anybody’s game,” she said during the finale.
Drew agreed, adding, “I’m just happy for them because they had a clear idea of what they wanted for their house, and they just went for it. And they were rewarded.”
Speaking of their house, Drew stated, “This is a place that somebody will move into and fall in love with and make so many magical memories, just like we made magical memories here, creating it. So, whether we win, whether we don’t win, we won.”

Mina Starsiak Hawk & Vernon Davis
Total wins: 1
It took until Week 5 of the competition for Mina and Vernon to score their first win. Guest judge Luann de Lesseps was impressed by the duo’s transformation of the office, laundry room, and RV garage.
“I haven’t won anything ever, so it’s a big deal,” Mina gushed in a post-win confessional. “It’s a great feeling. I’m glad I have a win under my belt, we have one as a team. And now, we just focus on the big win.” Vernon added, “She just puts so much into this… I’m happy for her. I’m happy for us.”
The team chose to add $3,000 to their design budget for the next week.
During the finale, Mina admitted she was “bummed” that she and Vernon didn’t win. “I’m so competitive. I want to win. We expected to win, and someone else did. And that’s okay,” she told the cameras.”
Vernon noted, “I still believe we did a wonderful job. [It’s] just like playing in the Super Bowl and not coming out with the victory. You gotta tell yourself, ‘Hey, it’s gonna be okay.’”
