Scott McGillivray is heading back to HGTV with both returning and new shows.

Earlier this month, HGTV announced that McGillivray and Bryan Baeumler‘s series Renovation Resort Showdown will return for its third season on Wednesday, July 1. In the new episodes, the hosts will “challenge four talented build/design teams from across North America to transform a long-neglected lakeside resort in the Kawartha Lakes regions into the ultimate vacation destination,” per the show’s description.

The contestants will have eight weeks and a $150,000 budget to design their homes, which will be judged by McGillivray, Baeumler, and special guests. The winner will receive a life-changing $100,000 prize.

Along with Renovation Resort Showdown‘s return, McGilivray revealed on Instagram that he also has new HGTV shows currently in the works. “It’s Scott McGillivray here, and I have some exciting news. That’s right! I am coming home to HGTV,” he states in the Thursday, June 25, clip. “I cannot be more excited. We have some incredible new series. We’ve got design, construction, transformation, real estate investing. It’s all coming your way.”

McGillivray notes that he wants to hear from fans about what they are looking for from the shows, as well as whether they are interested in appearing on them. “So, stay tuned. More to come,” he concluded. “I’m just so excited to be here on HGTV. We’ll see you soon!”

Fans shared their excitement for the new series and their show pitches in the post’s comments. “You are amazing and smart Scott. Excited for this! We need some ‘how to’ shows with new products. Examples – tile do you use the new stock backing or mud, mixing metals how and why, lighting ideas to change a room, inexpensive ways to change staircases, etc,” one user wrote. “Good luck with this as I am excited to learn from you. Always looking for income opportunities also and how to make it work!”

Another added, “Sounds like another great idea in the works. Definitely count me in if your looking to transform a home.” Someone else shared, “Yay! I would love to see you & @thealisonvictoria collab on something.” A different person gushed, “Woohoo!! Awesome to hear about the new shows! We can never have enough Scott! Let’s go!!”

Several fans asked for another season of the show Vacation House Rules, which stars McGillivray and Debra Salmoni. “I second (third, fourth, fifth) for Scott’s Vacation House Rules with Debra!” one commenter stated. Another wrote, “VACATION HOUSE RULES please please. We love all your shows so far but VHR is the bestest!! If you reno lake house in Michigan… yes please!! Congrats and welcome.”

McGillivray’s HGTV update comes one month after he wrapped his run on Season 7 of Rock the Block. The new season marked the first time HGTV stars competed alongside celebrities to renovate identical homes. McGillivray worked alongside TV personality and singer Brooke Hogan. The pair ultimately lost to Kim Wolfe and Chelsea Meissner.

“We worked hard, Brooke and I. We won the primary bedroom. We won the main bathroom. We won the walk-in closet challenge. We won the kitchen and the morning room. These are the biggest, most value add spaces in the house,” he said of the experience in a May 26 Instagram video. “We won all of those, but we didn’t win the entire, overall appraisal value. I know a lot of people have thoughts on it. I’d love to hear yours.”

Speaking of his partnership with Hogan, McGillivray added, “I think we did a great job. She’s super talented, really funny and friendly, over-the-top.”
