Good Morning Britain was hit with complaints as one guest sparked fury on the ITV programme on Monday (July 27). Presenters Richard Madeley and Kate Garraway were joined by a content creator named Tom Christopher, who recently took a bathtub up a mountain in Wales and left it there. The 25-year-old shared footage online of himself carrying the tub up Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog National Park – also known as the Brecon Beacons – while wearing flip-flops on 17 July, before bathing in it at the summit.

Although he planned to take the bath back down, he ended up leaving it behind after fellow hikers encouraged him to keep it there so they could take pictures. The move sparked major backlash, with many raising concerns about its impact on the environment.

Kate confessed that Tom could be her son and said she was viewing the situation from a mother’s perspective, jokingly telling him to “put some clothes on”.

A fourth shared: “Is he trying to crowdfund for his fine? He’s not going to get any support with his attitude.”

Another claimed Tom’s appearance on the programme “sums up Good Morning Britain”.

Not everyone agreed, with one writing: “Tom Christopher on @GMB is a lovely lad. Yes, he did wrong but I believe it was a genuine fluff up.”
