The former prime minister shares her thoughts on the current party leaders.

Liz Truss has revealed her true thoughts on current and former politicians, labelling one prominent figure as âstupidâ. Speaking to the Daily Expresso podcast, the ex-Conservative prime minister shared her thoughts on the party leaders. Ms Truss was asked to describe each prominent politician with just one word, and she gave the same answer for both the Tory and Reform UK leader.
The former Conservative MP for South West Norfolk described both Kemi Badenoch and Nigel Farage as âpotentialâ. However, Ms Trussâs one word for the Liberal Democrat leader Ed Davey was less positive, calling him âstupidâ. Moving onto the Labour party, the former prime minister labelled Sir Keir Starmer simply as a âlawyerâ, and said that Chancellor Rachel Reeves was an âautopenâ.

Speaking of the Labour Mayor of London, Ms Truss called Sadiq Khan âcorruptâ. This comes after an Express/MyLondon investigation, which exposed several potential grooming gang cases in London that were overlooked.
The Metropolitan Police announced that it is reviewing 9,000 cases in a huge grooming gangs probe after the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan previously said there were none.
Moving to politicians across the pond, Ms Truss shared her thoughts on figures in America. She told the Daily Expresso podcast that President Donald Trump is âgreatâ.
In comparison, she described former US Vice-President and presidential candidate Kamala Harris as âoverâ.
Last year, the Democratic politician lost to Mr Trump in their bids to become the leader of the United States.
The former Tory PM was also asked her thoughts on the billionaire Elon Musk, who was briefly a former Senior Advisor to Mr Trump and headed up DOGE in America. She labelled the Tesla leader as âinspirationalâ.
Mr Muskâs swift exit from the White House came after he butted heads with the US President over a number of matters, including the One Big Beautiful Bill Act â signature legislative initiative of the Trump administration.
Lastly, Ms Truss, who was prime minister from September 2022 to October 2022, was asked for one word to describe herself. After a few seconds of contemplation, she said this was âthe hardest questionâ, before saying: âStill alive.â
