Jenny Marrs Spills ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ Secret
As season 7 of her hit home renovation series got underway, Jenny took to social media to address a fan’s burning question.
“Oh my goodness! 1 question: the furniture we see in the reveal, is that what is staged or does the family keep it?” one fan asked via Instagram on Friday, December 5.
“They keep everything Dave makes and things like the hutch in the kitchen,” Jenny responded. “The sofa, for example, is offered to them at a discount if they want to purchase it.”
“Fixer to Fabulous” is not the only HGTV series to use this method, however.
According to one couple who starred on Chip and Joanna Gaineses “Fixer Upper,” clients of the Waco-based couple too have to decide whether they want to purchase the staging furniture.
“They give you an itemized list of how much everything costs at the end to see if you want to purchase things at a discounted price,” the season 3 star explained in a 2018 interview with Country Living. “I wasn’t really sad to see the staged decorations go. We did buy some of the decor, but I was excited to fill our home with our things and make it ours.”

The Marrses hometown was hit by a devastating tornado, leaving many with destroyed homes. The HGTV couple is giving back to those in need, beginning with their son’s preschool teacher, whose home “took a direct hit.”
Season 7 premiered on HGTV on December 2.
