Savannah Guthrie’s husband Michael Feldman breaks silence after Today host’s beloved mom ‘abducted’ from home
SAVANNAH Guthrie’s husband is breaking his silence after the disappearance of the Today host’s mom.
Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing from her home in Tucson, Arizona on Sunday.
Savannah’s husband, consultant Michael Feldman, said on Tuesday that he has “nothing new to report.”
Michael told Page Six that he is “just being responsive” but feels “mostly unhelpful” in the shocking disappearance.
He thanked the media’s “thoughtfulness” in the coverage of the situation.
‘CRIME SCENE’
Investigators fear that Nancy may have been abducted from her bed following a dinner with her daughter on Saturday.
A spokesperson for police told The U.S. Sun: “Sheriff Nanos has stated that he believes a crime has been committed.
“At this point, investigators believe she was taken from the home against her will, possibly in the middle of the night.
“Taken against her will includes possible kidnapping or abduction.
“At this time, Mrs. Guthrie is still considered missing.
“Detectives remain on scene and are actively following up on all tips as they are received.”
The disappearance is “very concerning” because Nancy requires daily live-saving medication, Nanos said at press conference on Sunday.
He stressed that the 84-year-old is “as sharp as a tack” and that she would not have left on her own.
“This is not somebody who just wandered off. Her physical limits are just based on age. It’s more physical. She is clearly as sharp as a tack,” said Nanos.
The sheriff told media outlets on Monday that he feared Nancy had been abducted and was pulling back on search efforts.
It was revealed that blood was found on Nancy’s property, according to the Los Angeles Times, though it’s unclear whose blood it is.
The blood was described as a “drip” comparable to a nosebleed, and ends where Nancy’s front door meets her driveway, a source told Fox News on Monday.
Nancy’s Apple watch, iPhone, car, and wallet all remained untouched, but there were signs of forced entry into the home, a source told the Associated Press.
While cops have offered no motive for a possible abduction, Nanos appealed directly to the kidnapped on NBC, telling them: “Just call us. Let her go. Just call us. The family will tell you, there’s no questions asked here.”
He said he did not believe that Nancy was targeted because of her famous daughter, but it is understood that Savannah is currently traveling with a security team.
Cops have also ruled out a ransom kidnapping or home invasion as possible motives.
NANCY’S FINAL MOVEMENTS
Nancy was last seen when she was dropped off at her home between 9:30 pm to 9:45 pm after she had dinner with Savannah’s sister Annie Guthrie, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos told Us Weekly.
Nanos said Annie did not notice any “red flags” about her mother’s behavior.
Around 11 am on Sunday, a parishioner from Nancy’s church told her family that the grandmother had not appeared at church.
The family then went to Nancy’s property and called 911 at 12:15 pm.
