HGTV stars Erin Napier and Ben Napier revealed a baby “bombshell” in the upcoming Home Town Season 10.

During an interview with TV Insider published on Friday, Jan. 2, the married couple teased what fans can look forward to ahead of its Jan. 4 premiere.

Among the renovation projects Erin and Ben tackled for Season 10 was his brother Jesse Napier and sister-in-law Lauren Napier‘s home. Jesse and Lauren, evidently, purchased the property without telling Ben and Erin.

“They showed us a house, and they put in an offer. I said, ‘Woo, that thing needs a lot of work.’ And he said, ‘Well, we just put in an offer, and we think they’re gonna accept it,’” Ben explained. “I’m at the moment of, ‘Whoa, you’re my brother, I do this for a living. Why didn’t you not come and talk to me about this?’”

Erin added that Jesse was confident they could pull it off because they’re young and had “the rest of our lives to renovate it.” Initially, there were no plans to feature the renovation on Home Town.

She continued, “And then they dropped the bomb on us, ‘And also, we got another baby on the way. Baby number 3 is coming,’ and we were like, ‘Listen, you can’t. You can’t do this right now.’ And, we forced them to let us help.”

During their chat with TV Insider, Ben and Erin explained that they renovated a different home for Jesse and Lauren years ago, not long after the latter couple married. However, Lauren and Jesse quickly outgrew the space as they added to their family.

Ben pointed out, “Renovating a house for a new married couple versus renovating a house for a family of five is very different.”
