HGTV stars Drew and Jonathan Scott expanded their portfolios after fans sent suggestions for new spinoff series.
The Property Brothers opened up about their new shows and how they came to be during a recent interview with Us Weekly.

The Property Brothers Explain New Showâs Origins
The Scott twins revealed the inspiration behind their new show, âChasing the West,â telling Us Weekly fans would often ask them what would happen âif we want to leave the city?â
âSo we did a show, and itâs funny to take people outside the city to this ranch life,â Drew explained. âThey thought it was gonna be easy, staring at the mountains and sipping their wine, but itâs hard work.â
According to HGTVâs description of the series â which premiered in July â âJonathan and Drew Scott grew up on a 160-acre ranch. The West made them who they are, and they want to share their passion and real estate expertise with a growing movement of people yearning to escape city life.â
The brothers traveled to Arizona, California and Texas, renovating homes for clients looking for a slower pace in life.
Drew and Jonathan Scottâs New Show Has Similar Beginnings
The âCelebrity I.O.U.â stars found similar inspiration for their other new series, âProperty Brothers: Under Pressure,â they told the outlet.
âThe new show is another one that our fans were asking for, and itâs the whole process. From house hunting [to] getting that offer in [and] renovating the house,â Drew explained to Us Weekly in an interview published October 30. âItâs so interesting to see the different dynamics of families and what they feel that they donât want to touch their home because they just donât know where to start.â
The title âUnder Pressureâ reportedly comes from the pressure home buyers feel to make an offer.
âIf we had a room of 100 families that had just purchased or renovated a home, and we said, âHow many of you felt that you were so under pressure that you want[ed] to quit the whole process?â I guarantee you, every hand would go up right now,â Jonathan added. âThatâs just the state that weâre in right now, the cost of renovations, the chaos.â
According to Jonathan, the new series âshows the good, the bad and the ugly.â
âItâs really good. So weâre excited for people to see it,â he continued, as Drew added, âWe take that pressure off their shoulders and get them into their home.â
âProperty Brothers: Under Pressureâ premieres in 2026.
