Christina Haack revealed she leaned on ex-husband Tarek El Moussa during her split from Josh Hall while filming their HGTV competition series, “The Flip Off.”

The series, which began filming in the summer of 2024, saw Haack and then-husband Hall compete against El Moussa and his wife, Heather Rae El Moussa, in a house flipping competition.

However, by the time the series premiered in January 2025, Haack and Hall had called it quits. spin

Tarek El Moussa Helped Christina Haack Through Josh Hall Split

According to the “Christina on the Coast” star, she and Hall split early into filming season 1, and El Moussa helped figure out how to move forward with the show.

“Tarek told our attorney and told the network for me that Josh would no longer be a part of the show,” she told People during an interview for the cover of their October issue. “They said ‘No problem. That’s fine.’ They just said, ‘We need Christina to have a scene where she tells you, Tarek, that Josh is no longer going to be a part of the show.’”

The emotional scene was a healing moment for their relationship and aired during the series premiere in January.

“I know we’re in a good place now,” Haack told her ex, with whom she shares daughter Taylor and son Brayden. “But yeah, we went through a lot of stuff. I don’t think anyone understands just how much stuff we went through. We met when we were so young.”

She continued, “When our stuff imploded, I felt like not only did I lose
we were best friends, but also I felt like I lost like, I need to be a full-time mom. And that really, really, really hurt me a lot and really affected me.”

Christina Haack Has Moved on From Josh Hall Split

Haack — whose divorce from Hall was finalized in August — is currently in a relationship with Chris Larocca, but she revealed to People that things are different.

“We’re not even discussing getting married. We’re not discussing getting engaged,” she said in an interview published on October 1. “We’re taking things slow. I promise. We’re not having children together. We’re not in a rush. We don’t have a timeline. He’s a super busy man. He has his own life, his own friends, his own career, and he’s pragmatic.”

The mother of three, who also shares son Hudson with ex-husband Ant Anstead, added, “My relationships with everyone improved [after splitting from Hall], and we have a bigger appreciation for each other.”
