David Bromstad Faces His âToughest Client Yetâ on HGTVâs âMy Lottery Dream Homeâ

David Bromstadâs sunny and engaging personality can brighten anyoneâs day â but he struggled to win over one âMy Lottery Dream Homeâ client. In a humorous HGTV video, Bromstad attempts to connect with the home buyersâ quiet teenage daughter.
David Bromstad Deals With His âToughest Clientâ
On March 20, the HGTV Instagram account shared a clip from the nightâs new episode. âInstant #MyLotteryDreamHome icon. Watch David try to find a property in Santa Fe, NM for Mariella & her fam on tonightâs new ep at 9|8c!â the caption noted.
The video notes that itâs âDavidâs toughest client yet (a teenager),â so you know heâs in for a bumpy ride. As they look at different homes, Bromstad asks for Mariellaâs opinion and she doesnât quite match his energy.
âWhat else can I do for you, your majesty?â he jokingly asks her at one point.
Bromstad also asks, âDo you like it or do you hate it? ⊠I canât tell!â
She smiles and assures him, âI like it.â
Bromstad responds, âOkay, good. I have to hear words.â
Fans Weigh In on Bromstadâs Interactions With the Teen
Fans flooded the comments section to praise Bromstad for handling the awkward moments in the episode. âHeâs great! He knew how to work it!â one fan wrote.
Others noted, âDavid did an amazing jobâ and âHe handled it perfectly.â
A debate broke out about whether the girl was quiet or rude. One fan confirmed, âI watched it tonight. She wasnât a talker and David said âI need to hear words.’â
They added, âTeenagers are not always vocal these days because they use digital devices to communicate. I think đ€ it was just a way to get the young girl involved in the house hunting situation. I believe she did very well.â
âYeah, if you havenât spent a considerable amount of time around teenagers lately you wouldnât know that this isnât rude, or abnormal,â another follower shared. âTrust me, if they are being rude, it is loud, and very obvious. This younger generation is just more laid back, observational, and nonverbal.â
Another viewer noted that the teen âwas playful cheekyâ and possibly âcoached by producers.â The HGTV fan added, âI felt like she was just a shy teen and they tried to give some screen time and attention by doing so.â
âWatched and saw a teenager who is simply shy,â another fan wrote. âI loved that she was showing off her new home at the end. We are all not talkers đ„° Would have loved to see some of her artwork!â
