Robert Irwin may be an Aussie larrikin, but he’s taken the world by storm with his impressive dancing abilities recently on the American version of Dancing With The Stars. The 21-year-old is paired with professional dancer Witney Carson, who has been the brains behind the show-stopping routines they’ve been performing lately.

This week was ‘TikTok Week’ on the show, and Robert and Witney used it as an opportunity to reveal ‘cool Robert’ to the world with a sexy Salsa, which was paired with Tommy Richman’s ‘Million Dollar Baby’. Robert surprised viewers everywhere when, partway through the performance, he ripped off his shirt to show off his impressive physique.

While fans loved the moment, Robert has admitted he probably didn’t warn his family about how risqué the dance was.

Robert’s mum, Terri Irwin, his sister, Bindi Irwin, her husband, Chandler Powell, and their daughter, Grace, were in the audience for the dance.

Speaking with ABC’s On The Red Carpet, Robert joked, “We thought we’d take it a bit more easy on the costume department tonight and just go as few clothes as possible.”

“I said to Witney, I want to bring out ‘cool Robert,’ I was like, ‘I know he’s in there somewhere. I want to bring him out.’”

He added, “My whole family are in the audience, sorry guys, sorry about that.”

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, the Wildlife Warrior said his mum and sister were warned that his shirt would come off, but nothing more.

“My mom and sister were in the audience, and they didn’t know I was doing that,” he explained.

“I said the shirt may come off, but they weren’t expecting, like, the hips.”

Witney joked that she had some regrets in showing off Robert’s six-pack as she had already been flooded with DMs and emails from women asking her to hook them up with the Aussie star.

“I had so many moments of regret. I was like, did I make the right choice taking his shirt off?” she said, adding, “Girls. Let’s take it down a little.”

Robert teased that he might do it again, so we shall wait and see.
