There are set to be plenty of changes to the Emmerdale schedule this Christmas and this Wednesday night (December 24) the soap is moving time slots again, meaning it is not on at 7.30pm as usual – so when is it on tonight?
Football, rubgy and other special shows often affect the soaps, but which is it tonight? We’ve got you covered here so you know when Emmerdale is off and when it’s back again this week.


When is Emmerdale airing tonight?
Emmerdale will be on this Wednesday but at an earlier time. Instead of it’s usual 7.30pm slot, it will instead move to 6.55pm. The episode is on for half an hour.
There is also the early morning release on ITVX and YouTube where it is available everyday from 7am.
After Emmerdale, at 7.25pm Royal Carols: Together at Christmas, organised by the Princess of Wales, will air. Coronation Street’s Christmas Eve episode follows at 8.40pm.


What happens in Emmerdale tonight?
After seemingly agreeing to leave Aaron and Robert alone, Kev is now armed with a shotgun. He is ready to strike, but who is his target? With the threat to life very real, will Aaron and Robert make it to Christmas Day?
Elsewhere, Joe once again tries to make amends with Kim. He uses his engagement to Dawn as a way to try and bring the family back together, but cold Kim dismisses him.
However, Lydia is not giving up and heads back to Home Farm to try again. But Kim lashes out and it causes Lydia to finally snap. She gives Kim some home truths, but will it cause Kim to rethink her stance?
Also, Jacob and Sarah are getting ready for their Christmas Eve wedding. They are nervous but excited. Although Eric and Kerry are acting very suspiciously. Exactly what are they up to? And will it derail Sarah and Jacob’s big day?
