Victoria Sugden was a very familiar face in the Emmerdale village before her departure earlier this year, and now actress Isabel Hodgins has confirmed when she will be back.

Isabel took over the role of Victoria in 2006, and has had some major storylines during that time, including a marriage to Adam Barton and a rape ordeal that resulted in her pregnancy with son Harry.

Ahead of her exit, she discovered the truth about brother John Sugden’s murderous tendencies, and was left terrified when he returned to the village hoping to reconnect with her and Harry.

During the dramatic Corriedale episode, Victoria killed John in a shock twist – but that was just the beginning of further troubles for the family.

It transpired that Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) had a video of John’s death, and he threatened to take it to the police, unless Victoria and Robert (Ryan Hawley) sold him their share of Butler’s Farm.

When Victoria found out that Robert had gone so far as to frame Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) for Celia Daniels’ murder, she was horrified, and decided to leave the village with Harry to stay with Diane Sugden in Portugal.

Victoria’s exit came about after Isabel Hodgins announced her first pregnancy, with the actress taking maternity leave.

Fans will be pleased to know that her exit isn’t a permanent one, with Isabel having confirmed when she will be back.

Taking to TikTok, she shared a video dancing alongside partner Adam.

According to the caption of the video, it was filmed while newborn daughter Georgie was taking a nap.
