It’s Official! ✨ HGTV Favorite David Bromstad to Host Brand-New Special Showcasing His Stunning Florida Home Makeover

It’s official! As previously reported by EntertainmentNow, HGTV superstar David Bromstad will host a new special, revealing all of the spectacular renovations he’s made to the Florida house he bought four years ago.

On October 23, 2025, HGTV announced that “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending” will premiere on December 19 at 9 p.m. Eastern time, giving fans their first look at how he’s transformed his five-bedroom Tudor into a warm and whimsical home that suits and reflects him perfectly.

HGTV's David Bromstad Says This Is the One Design Trend ...

David Bromstad Never Imagined His Dream Home Renovations Would Take So Long

Bromstad’s one-hour special is a follow-up to “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Dream Home,” which aired on HGTV in 2021, chronicling his search for the ideal house in the Orlando area.

Now, in “My Lottery Dream Home: David’s Happy Ending,” HGTV says Bromstad will “begin a fairytale-inspired renovation on his new home—with plans to update the kitchen and add an extension with a main bedroom, walk-in closet and theater.”

Bromstad never expected renovations would take so long, but according to HGTV, a massive storm caused the house to flood, requiring him to “demo the entire house down to the studs to eradicate mold.” Viewers will see how the stress and pressure became too much, leading him to take a year off from doing any renovations.

Fans will also get to see some of his “healing trip to Norway,” which he took for his 50th birthday. Though he had originally planned to turn his home into a living “fairytale,” HGTV says that trip inspired a creative shift motivated by the unique architecture and design of his “ancestral homeland.”

David Bromstad’s Bestie Says His Completed Dream Home is ‘Phenomenal’

Bromstad purchased his five-bedroom, four-bathroom Tudor for $975,000 in 2021, per real estate documents reviewed by EntertainmentNow.

When Realtor.com asked Bromstad whether he had plans to renovate his new home, he replied, “You have no idea! This is the first time in my entire life that I’ll be able to flex my own creative muscles.”

“This is the first house I’ve owned on my own,” he continued. “With all my other houses I had a partner, so there was always a second opinion. Now, I have no second opinion. It’s going to be delicious, tasteful, bold, but yet really comforting. Oh, I can’t wait.”

In mid-September, Bromstad shared an Instagram Story originally posted by one of his best friends, Lana Reiss, who’s been his makeup artist on “My Lottery Dream Home” for years. In her video, taken at his home, she teased the upcoming special before it was announced, telling fans, “You don’t even understand how amazing this special is gonna be.”

“David’s home is phenomenal,” she gushed, and then joked, “It is so stupid, you guys are gonna lose your tits. I don’t know. I am. I’m losing mine right now! Where’d they go?!”

The Friday night favorite sees Bromstad travel across the U.S. to help clients “purchase fantasy homes with their newly attained fortunes,” from lottery winnings to inheritances.

In the season premiere, Bromstad will help a couple from Boca Raton, Florida, find their next home thanks to “a few windfalls in their pockets,” HGTV said.
