Jonathan & Kristina still remember the moment 𝐇𝐆𝐓𝐕 said no Season 4 — no warning, no explanation, just silence 💔

HEARTBREAKING: Jonathan and Kristina still vividly remember that afternoon. The phone rang, an email from HGTV appeared on the screen: “We’ve decided not to move forward with Season 4.” No lengthy explanation, and that was it…

To our loyal fans – the ones who’ve been with us since the NKOTB days, who grew up singing along and now watch us restore these beautiful old New England farmhouses… thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You made Farmhouse Fixer feel like family.

It’s been months since we shared the news, and we’ve tried to stay positive, focus on what’s next – the Vegas residency, our farm projects, new ideas we’re excited about. But seeing HGTV premiere Home Town Season 10 tonight, rolling out episode after episode of the “big” shows while ours was quietly ended after just three seasons… it hurts more than we expected.

We poured everything into those farmhouses: preserving the history, the charm, the soul of New England homes that have stood for centuries. We fought to keep things authentic – no cookie-cutter flips, no over-the-top drama for ratings.

We wanted to show that real renovation is about heart, hard work, and respect for the past. And you loved it. You told us every week how these episodes brought back memories of your grandparents’ homes, how they inspired you to fix up your own spaces, how Jonathan’s stories from the road (and yes, the occasional anxiety shares) made you feel seen.

Yet HGTV decided not to move forward. No fourth season. No proper send-off. Just… gone. While we’re still processing the reasons – and trust us, we’ve asked – it’s hard not to feel erased when the network celebrates milestone seasons for others, launches new gimmicks, and fills the schedule with more of the same.

We gave them three seasons of genuine stories, loyal viewers (many of you who’ve followed Jonathan since the ‘80s and ‘90s), and a show that stood out for being wholesome, nostalgic, and real.

To every fan who’s messaged us “Bring back Farmhouse Fixer,” who’s boycotted episodes, who’s said “HGTV lost its soul when they canceled you” – we hear you. We feel it too. This wasn’t just a TV job; it was our passion, our way of honoring heritage while building something new. Losing it without warning stings, especially when we see the network thrive on flash over substance.

We’re not done creating. Kristina and I are exploring new paths – maybe our own projects, maybe a gardening-focused show (I’ve been pitching that for years!). But we won’t pretend this doesn’t hurt. We won’t pretend we’re okay watching the network move on while so many of you mourn with us.

If you’re feeling that same frustration tonight – scrolling past the hype and thinking “This isn’t what we signed up for” – know you’re not alone. Your love kept this show alive longer than any executive decision ever could. Thank you for believing in us. This chapter may be closed, but our story – and yours – isn’t over.

With gratitude, a lot of love, and still a spark of fight,

Jonathan & Kristina
