Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos Announces Guthrie Family Cleared As Suspects
In a new statement, Nanos revealed that âthe Guthrie family â to include all siblings and spouses â has been cleared as possible suspects in this case.â
âThe family has been nothing but cooperative and gracious and are victims in this case,â he continued. âTo suggest otherwise is not only wrong, it is cruel. The Guthrie family are victims plain and simpleâŠplease, Iâm begging you the media to honor your profession and report with some sense of compassion and professionalism.â
This comes after there has been some suspicion surrounding Nancyâs son-in-law Tommaso Cioni, where Nanos, in a recent interview with the Daily Mail said that  ânobodyâ has been cleared in the investigation.
If he [Tommaso Cioni] is guilty, if heâs the one who did it, and weâre able to prove that, then at that time jump on it but donât come out of nowhere with this,â Nanos told the outlet. âI understand the pundits are out there. Theyâre gonna say, well, heâs the last one to see her alive. We understand that stuff. But, my goodness, youâre putting a mark on somebody who could be completely innocent. And more important than that, heâs family.â
