Ty Pennington is as excited as fans are for the upcoming season of “Rock the Block.”

Season 7 will see HGTV favorites paired with celebrity competitors as they compete for the top prize in a new spin on the beloved series.

Pennington opened up about the exciting twist, claiming he didn’t expect the teams to be so “dynamic.”

The “Battle on the Beach” alum spoke with PopCulture ahead of the Monday, April 13, premiere.

“I was just like, ‘Wow!’” Pennington told the outlet of the pairs. “I didn’t expect the duos to be so dynamic, but they are. You just couldn’t script this, it was just the way [that] sometimes the universe works, and you’re like, wow, all these teams have turned out to be like a really good pairing.”

He went on to say that adding a celebrity aspect to the competition series “[is] always gonna be good TV.”

“But you’ve also got people who are learning, trying to find their way, working together for the first time, and they pull up some amazing stuff … and also some interesting stuff as well,” Pennington stated. “I think what’s great about this season is you really see four different teams and four different takes on a Vegas sort of ranch home, single story. You’ve got so many different opportunities to create a great atmosphere in a city that’s built on entertaining. I mean, what sort of better spot to really amp up a TV show about design [is there] than Vegas? So yeah, I love it.”

‘Rock the Block’ Season 7 Brings Back Iconic HGTV Stars

HGTV announced the new season will take place in Sin City.

“Each team will have just seven weeks and a budget of $275,000 to transform identical cul-de-sac builds boasting one-level living, private courtyards, multi-generational suites and RV garages into luxurious Sin City homes that reflect their signature vision and stunning design style,” the network shared. “The team who earns the highest appraised property value will hit the jackpot, winning ‘Rock the Block’ bragging rights and a street named in their honor.”

The couples competing for top prize are “Battle on the Beach” winner Taniya Nayak and 98 Degrees star Drew Lachey, “Renovation Resort” star Scott McGillivray and TV personality Brooke Hogan, “Good Bones” alum Mina Starsiak Hawk and NFL veteran Vernon Davis, and “Survivor” alum Kim Wolfe and Bravo star Chelsea Meissner.
