💖 “You’ll Always Be In My Heart, Mum.” 💖 Robert Irwin left the nation in tears on Dancing with the Stars as he performed a breathtaking routine dedicated to his mother, Terri Irwin. 🌿

Robert Irwin gave a moving performance on “Dancing with the Stars” Week 5 in honor of Dedication Night. Alongside his professional dance partner Witney Carson, Irwin performed a Contemporary routine to “You’ll Be In My Heart” by Phil Collins. He dedicated the performance to his mother, Terri Irwin.

It was a stunning performance which highlighted their close bond and was a testament to Terri’s strength and resilience. Robert also praised Terri for her strength. She raised Robert and his older sister, Bindi, alone after the tragic passing of their father, Steve Irwin. Steve died on September 4, 2006.

Robert Irwin Praises Mom Terri Irwin

After Robert’s performance on October 14, he gave an interview to People about his mother’s strength and what she means to him. “My mom exemplifies how to be strong. And I think so many people forget what strong means,” he told People in an interview published on October 19. “You think strong is like steadfast, you show up, you just carry on, and everything’s fine. That’s not what strength is.”

He continued, “True strength is being able to find and feel your own vulnerability, your own emotion, and use that to carry yourself and to hopefully try and help others and to create a community. And my mom is just such a kind and vulnerable and strong and steadfast human being, and she teaches me every day what it is to put one foot in front of the other, even when it’s so hard to do that.”

With Robert’s performance on Dedication Night he wanted to highlight what their family has been through and the loss they experienced, but he also had hope that the performance would resonate with those who find themselves in similar situation.

“I really, really hope that our story and the story that we tried to create tonight resonates and helps other people,” he said. “We all feel lost at some point in our lives, and I just really want this to be a reminder to everyone. There are people who care about you and who want to see you do well. You have to just keep putting one foot in front of the other. It will be OK.”

Fans React to Robert Irwin’s Dedication Night Dance

Fans had the opportunity to react to Robert and Carson’s dance when the official “Dancing with the Stars” account posted photos from their performance on Instagram. Fans were moved by the emotion in the dance and the comments were flooded with loving messages.

“When terri replaced witney, I couldn’t control the tears. what a beautiful testament to his mother’s love. I know that steve would be so proud of his family,” a comment reads.

“I absolutely sobbed,” professional dancer Emma Slater wrote.

“So beautiful, leave it all out there every week!” fellow DWTS competitor Dylan Efron shared.
