DANCING With The Stars guest judge Cheryl Burke has SLAMMED Alix Earle’s stepmom Ashley for ‘body shaming’ her after this week’s show
Cheryl Burke, 41, made a triumphant return to the hit dancing competition this week when she took on the role of guest judge.
When Cheryl judged on the show and gave her critique to Alix Earle, the podcaster’s step mom was less than impressed by the comments.
Ashley Dupré, Alix’s step mom, lashed out at Cheryl for giving her a lower score than the other judges.
During the Halloween episode, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough each gave Alix and her pro partner Val Chmerkovskiy a perfect score of ten.
But guest judge Cheryl only gave the dancing duo a nine, which enraged her step mom.
Ashley, Alix’s step mom, fumed in a video, “Oh, go take more Ozempic.”
The Ozempic comment referred to how Cheryl has drastically changed her appearance in recent years.
But now Cheryl has broken her silence on the Ozempic comment.
Taking to Instagram to speak out, she said, “My comments didn’t just come out of nowhere.
“It came from personal experience. It came from being on this show for 26 seasons.
“And it also came from all the years of being trained, being coached myself,” she said.

She then directly responded to Alix’s step mom’s comments.
“And I have seen so many mixed reviews, which is totally fine, but what’s not OK is I’ve also seen so many aggressive ones and a lot of body-shaming ones,” Cheryl said.
The guest DWTS judge then slammed those “who think body-shaming is OK, especially in front of your children”.
She then said how it [body shaming] “sends a powerful message about what you value and, clearly, it’s not kindness”.
Cheryl added, “You don’t have to agree with my critique, but you do have to recognize the influence your words have on the next generation watching you.
“If that’s the example you choose to set then please, I beg of you, leave my name out of it.”
Cheryl first addressed her physical transformation in March.
At the time, fans were worried for her and wondered if her weight loss was due to using jabs like Ozempic.
Speaking out in the spring, she said, “I’m not on Ozempic. I’m not sick. I didn’t get a face transplant.
“And, no, I didn’t get a brow lift.”
At the time, she added how “the assumptions are just exhausting as hell”.
She added, “My face has changed because I’ve changed. I’ve experienced so much trauma, divorce.

“And this is by no means a pity party.
“Sobriety, burnout, reinvention. I’ve healed, I’ve lost, I’ve grieved like anybody else.”
