Itâs pretty reasonable to say thereâs not much love lost between Debbie and Abi Webster (Sue Devaney and Sally Carman) â and tensions are set to get worse in coming weeks.
Debbie is furious with Abi over her cheating scandal and split with Kevin (Michael le Vell), and she is about to have another reason to last out, much to Abiâs frustration.
It all starts with Abi and Carl discussing their financial straits, both in need of a job.
Meanwhile, Kevin opens a letter and is incensed to see that Abiâs started divorce proceedings
Later, as a flustered Debbie makes mistakes at the hotel, Carl comes to her rescue.
Carl summons Dylan and shows him the details of a car heâd like him to steal.
Dylan refuses and hurries out, while Abi makes a note of the car. As Abi heads out, a suspicious Debbie follows her.
Abi finds the car in Freshco car park but as she dithers, clearly having second thoughts, Debbie arrives.
Is Debbie about to discover the truth about what Carl is up to, and what will she do with the information?
Elsewhere, show boss Kate Brooks has assured fans that despite Debbieâs dementia diagnosis, the actress will remain in the show for some time.
In fact, she will be here until 2027, as the soap takes a slow burn approach to the storyline.
Instead of Debbie deteriorating in the immediate future, focus will be on her trying to enjoy the time she has left, and a Christmas wedding to Ronnie will be full of joy.
We will also see Debbie enjoying a friendship with several women, triggering some classic Corrie scenes.
So we have plenty of time to enjoy our beloved Debbie yet!
