Chip & Joanna Gaines Tackle a Colorado Mountain House for New ‘Fixer Upper’
On October 28, Joanna shared a trailer for their upcoming show, “Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.”
As Chip notes on the drive to the mountains, “We are not in Waco anymore, are we?”
“‘Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House’ is coming this December! Watch @chipgaines and me turn this 1960s home in the heart of the Rockies into a cozy family retreat,” Joanna shared in the caption.
She added, “Don’t miss the premiere December 9th at 9pm ET/PT on Magnolia Network and HGTV, or stream same day on HBO Max and discovery+.”
In the trailer, Joanna explains that it’s their first project outside of Waco, Texas. “I want it to feel like something that I put together for my family,” she notes.
One of the home’s shortcomings is lack of space. “This is a zero bedroom house,” Joanna says.
Chip confirms, “There’s a lot of work to be done.”
It’s also a family affair. “Chip had an idea to let our daughter design the little cottage,” Joanna says.

Joanna Gaines Calls Colorado a ‘Special Place for Our Family’
According to the press release from Warner Bros. Discovery, “Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House” is a three-part limited series.
“In ‘Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House,’ Chip and Joanna take on a 1960s mountain property in Colorado, tackling unique design and construction hurdles that come with high-altitude living,” the release explains. “Together, they blend original mid-century details with European-inspired finishes, transforming the home into their own timeless family retreat nestled in the Rockies.”
Joanna noted, “Colorado has come to be a special place for our family. And somewhere in-between ski trips and spring breaks over the last decade, a dream took root to one day carve out a place of our own.”
She added, “While taking ‘Fixer Upper’ out of state meant we were in for a steep learning curve, our hope is that this home would far outlast us, and we can’t wait to share it with you.”
